Currently Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs in the UK have terminated pension transfers to Australian Superannuation Funds, other than where all members of the fund are aged 55 or over.

For those who have reached 55 an Australian Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) which is restricted to members of 55 and over will need to be established and registered in the UK as a Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (ROPS).

For more information on the benefits and costs of establishing a SMSF, together with the registration in the UK, please contact me.
